22 Sep 1881 being absent from his quarters during the night of the 20th inst., severely reprimanded and cautioned by the Chief Constable
24 Mar 1884 being stood gossiping with PC 150 Dawson for 5 minutes whilst on duty, reprimanded by the Chief Constable
29 Oct 1884 reported by Sergeant Grainger for neglect of duty by being in a house, No 2 High Street, from 10.30 to 11pm on the 29th Oct 1884, fined 2 shillings and sixpence and reprimanded
1 Jul 1897 drinking a pint of beer whilst on duty on licensed premises he not having obtained permission from a superior officer at 10.30pm on the 1st inst, fined 1 days pay by the Watch Committee, notice given
12 May 1903 being worse for drink and unfit for duty at 4.20pm on the 12th May 1903, severely reprimanded and fined 2 days pay by the Chief Constable and removed from the Fire Box
