20 Jan 1883 being absent from his quarters all night, severely reprimanded and cautioned by the Chief Constable
29 May 1884 not parading for pay until 6.40pm at which hour he was sent for specially, severely reprimanded and cautioned by the Chief Constable
13 Aug 1882 being in the Albert Inn, Adelaide Street, drinking at 4pm on the 10th inst in uniform and sat down when on duty, severely reprimanded and fined 2 days pay by the Chief Constable
13 Sep 1882 being absent from the 9.45pm parade and when visited at home was worse for drink on the 13th inst, severely reprimanded and fined 2 days pay by the Chief Constable - leniency shown on account of satisfactory Government inspection
17 Jan 1888 being found in the Talbot Inn, Scale Lane, at 10.45pm when on duty for the purpose of drinking, called upon to resign by the Watch Committee
