10 Jun 1904 being in a stable in Hall Street at 4.05pm (five minutes after coming on duty) with PC 212 Neale and having a small bottle of whiskey in his hand with the cork drawn and only a third full, reduced in grade from 33 shillings to 30 shillings per week for 6 months and to be further reported on in 6 months, minutes 22 Jun 1904

28 Dec 1904 reinstated in Class @ 33 shillings per week
20 Mar 1905 killed on duty in attempting to stop a runaway horse
