6 Dec 1882 being absent from duty without the knowledge of his Inspector from 7.20 to 9am [on the] 6th inst. also for making an incorrect entry in the occurance book showing that he left duty at 9am whereas he actually left at 7.20am, reprimanded by the Chief Constable
29 Dec 1883 resigned on appointment as Inspector in the Rotherham Police
