7 Sep 1881 neglecting to patrol a portion of his beat, the south side of Humber Dock, for two and a quarter hours from 7 to 9.15am [on the] 29th instant, also for refusing to obey an order from Acting Sergeant Booth and using insubordinate language towards the latter when spoken to by him on the subject [on] the same date, fined 4 shillings and reprimanded by [the] Chairman of [the Watch] Committee and removed from A to B Division
