8 May 1879 being sat down in an unfinished house at 4.10am, fined 1 days pay by [the] Chief Constable
1 Mar 1880 worse for drink when off duty at 11.45pm [on the] 28th ult., fined 1 days pay by [the] Chief Constable

1 Apr 1880 absent from [the] 9.45pm parade and remaining absent during the night,
2 Apr 1880 absent from [the] 9.45pm parade and remaining absent during the night, fined 1 weeks pay by [the] Watch Committee

23 Mar 1881 being unfit for duty from the effects of drink at 11pm at Norfolk Street Station on the 17th inst., severely reprimanded and cautioned by [the] Watch Committee
15 Jun 1881 neglect of duty in not patrolling his beat from 1.50am to 2.45am [on the ] 10th inst. and found lying down asleep under the manger in a stable in Leonard Street, fined 1 weeks pay and severely reprimanded and told that if on any future occassion he comes before [the] Watch Committee on any charge whatever which shall be proved, he will be instantly dismissed

26 Sep 1879 advanced from the 4th class @ 24 shillings to the 3rd class @ 25 shillings per week
26 Mar 1881 advanced from the 3rd class @ 25 shillings to the 2nd class @ 26 shillings
