22 Apr 1881 drinking in the Brittania Hotel, Mytongate when on duty at 10.15pm on the 21st inst., severely reprimanded and cautioned by [the] Chief Constable
18 May 1882 being absent from his quarters on the night of the 16th inst. from 1am to 6am, reprimanded by [the] Chief Constable
10 Oct 1882 disobedience of orders in not furnishing a written statement of his evidence in a felony case in which he was a witness by 6pm on Wednesday 4th inst., he, the Constable, being specially warned to do so at 2.40pm that day, fined 1 shilling by [the] Chief Constable, confirmed by [the] Watch Committee
