13 Apr [1881] disobedience of orders of the Chief Constable in not parading for duty at 6pm 2nd inst. he, the Constable, having absconded from the Borough being subsequently apprehended on a warrent for which offence he was convicted by the Stipendiary Magistrate and fined 20 shillings and costs, dismissed the Force without pay by order of the Sub Watch Committee of the 13th Apr 1881
