1 May 1878 using abusive language to P.C.93 Hill when on duty at 11.55pm, cautioned as to his future conduct by [the] Watch Committee
15 Jul 1878 being absent from his beat from 1.15 to 2.30am on the 15th July 1878, when found was asleep and the worse for drink, fined 1 days pay by [the] Chief Constable
14 Oct 1881 excess of duty in going to the house of Mr Kiel, 32 Staniforth Place, a second time in search of stolen property at 2.15am [on the] 27th August, also neglect of duty in failing to give up certain property which had been taken from a prisoner named "Hood" on the night of the 26th August, severely reprimanded by [the] Watch Committee
30 Mar 1882 being absent from the 9am parade until 1pm on the 29th inst., also for leaving the Borough without leave, severely reprimanded and cautioned by [the] Chief Constable
