13 Oct 1862 being drunk at home when for duty at 8pm on the 11th, fined 1 days pay by [the] Chief Constable
14 Apr 1863 being absent from his beat from 3.40 to 4.25am and when found was in the railway watch house, fined 1 shilling by the Chief Constable
22 Dec 1863 being drunk when on duty in Church Lane at 1.30am, fined 3 days pay and reprimanded [by the] Watch Committee
26 Mar 1864 being drunk when on duty in Dock Office Row at 11.25pm [on] the 25th inst. also assaulting Sergeant Hill and wilfully breaking the gas fittings in the Reserve Room, dismissed
