29 Jan 1858 being one hour late for duty at 9pm, reprimanded by the Chief Constable.
8 Mar 1858 leaving his cape behind some palings in Mark Street at 12.30am also losing the same, fined 2 shillings - the value of the cape and reprimanded by the Watch Committee.
29 Apr 1858 being absent from duty [for] 45 minutes without leave, reprimanded by the Chief Constable.
19 Jun 1858 being worse for liquor and sat asleep on the Holderness Road at 12.45am when on duty, fined 1 days pay by [the] Chief Constable.
12 Jul 1858 having a man walking with him on his beat and using insubordinate language to his sergeant, fined 3 days pay and reprimanded by the Watch Committee.
4 Aug 1858 resigned having given the usual months notice.
