Following information provided by J G Mitchell:
'...the first MG Patrol Car (WF 6145) was purchased in March 1937 and in June 1938 four more MG Patrol Cars were purchased. The picture is of 11 MG 11 hp Patrol Cars purchased in April 1947 at a cost of £538.3s.1d each. The officers with the cars from left to right are Sergeant 203 B Gray, PC 59 N A Wood, PC 191 F J Thompson, PC 138 F Perry, PC 169 C T Widd, PC 11 D Threlfell, Inspector C E Maidment (Head of Force Traffic Section), PC 217 E Theakstone, PC 105 D M Foster, PC 112 J A Boyes, PC 201 I M Bulmer, PC 212 L P Dalton and PC 63 S Loft (Force Driving Instructor)' |
