Abstract
Sandhutton Hall was built by Sir James Walker. The house originally was early Georgian and includes work by the Adam Brothers which could suggest it was built about 1700. It was briefly owned by Thomas Cutler Rudston-Read who was bequeathed it by William Read. It was sold to the Walker family. The new part of the house was built by the second Baronet, 1887. The house was demolished in 1971.
