Abstract | Robert Alleyne Robinson was born at Cuerden, five miles south of Preston in Lancashire where is father was land agent to the Tatton family. He studied medicine at Cambridge and the London Hospital, the latter during the London Blitz. He was posted to India in 1943 to the war with Japan and was Medical Officer in a Chindit Column, and in forward and base hospitals. He was in a medical practice until he retired in 1979. |
