Abstract | A description of 196 barrows on 120 square miles of the Yorkshire Wolds and how they have been arranged in sixteen groups, all of which have been opened by the author. The author argues that the groups of seven barrows were arranged by design to resemble the seven stars in the 'Ursa Major' constellation and that this had religious significance to prehistoric man |
