AbstractThe Beverley High Level Drainage Scheme was commissioned by Yorkshire Water to upgrade the sewage/storm water drainage system in the southern part of Beverley in 1980. Members of the Humberside Archaeological Unit were engaged to regularly watch the digging of the trenches. Areas within the town which were the subject of detailed observation including Long Lane, Flemingate, Chantry lane and Wilbert Lane/Butcher Row.
