AbstractFor the purposes of this paper the Anglian period is considered to begin with the earliest post-Roman Germanic settlement sometime after A.D. 410 and end with the overthrow of the Anglian kingdom of Northumbria by Viking invaders c. A.D. 866/7. The survey is designed to help future development of archaeological fieldwork in the region.
