Title | A Late medieval kiln at Holme-upon-Spalding Moor, North Humberside |
Date | 1980 |
Description | A report on excavations of a kiln at a site in the garden of a bungalow named Snow Wood owned by Mr and Mrs E Finch lying immediately north of Selby Road adjoining Pear Tree Farm to the west. |
Abstract | The site was excavated in 1944-5 by Ernest Greenfield but no report of the work was produced at the time. The only evidence of the excavation that remained were boxes of pottery and kiln fabric in Hull City Museums. This report is an attempt to produce a description of the kiln and its associated pottery. |
