The first was edited and published by J Horsfall Turner and the East Riding Archives & Local Studies Service has volume 1 of this dated 1888. The second series of Yorkshire notes & queries was edited and published by Charles F Forsahw and sub-titled 'Being the antiquarian history of Yorkshire'. volumes 1-5 of this series are held by the East Riding Archives & Local Studies Service.
