TitleThe excavation of the Kilham long barrow, East Riding of Yorkshire
Date1976
AbstractThe excavation of the Kilham long barrow was undertaken by an annual programme of work during the years 1965 to 1971. The construction of the long barrow at Kilham took place in two phases. A ring ditch dug across the line of the avenue east of the long barrow belongs to an early Bronze Age use of the locality. Any covering round barrow mound had been completely removed by cultivation that affected the area from the middle of the 19th century to the present day.
