Printed 'Yorkshire Memorandum Book and Daily Journal' with a page allocated to each week and a brief entry made on each day. Thursday entries often refer to the local market and Sunday entries to church services. Includes numerous references to the weather as well as visits and local matters. With extensive printed section containing various lists of officials, postage and transport information, list of fairs and account of principal horse races (p172 refers to Beverley races).
Also enclosed: letter from Richard Allen to Mrs Dunn describing the peaceful death of Mrs Holtby and arrangements for her funeral 12 Aug 1817.
