| AdminHistory | The Horsley family were native to Beverley. Joyce Walker Horsley was the daughter of Doris Walker. She married Fred Horsley. They lived for a time in Wilbert Lane, Beverley. Early on during World War Two Joyce Horsley worked for Joseph Ranks. During the war Fred Horsley was posted with the 47 Squadron. The correspondence between Joyce and Fred Horsley shows domestic life at home during the Second World War and life abroad as he was posted to Dumfries, Egypt and Libya. |
