Also declaration of Thomas Calvert of York, confectioner, that he was well acquainted with William Bayldon, late of Bootham, parish St Olave, York, esquire, and his wife Sybil. William Bayldon was a wholesale confectioner and carried out his business in Bootham. Thomas Calvert was bound apprentice to him for 8 years in 1791 and continued as a journeyman for 2 years, leaving his service in 1801. He had 2 daughters, Sybil Bayldon who married the late Richard Purchas Strangwayes, and Maria Bayldon who died unmarried about 30 years ago. Also copy letter of Messrs Powell to the Register Office of Beverley Jun 1839 and certificate proving intestacy of Thomas Wharrey as to his estate at Millington and that Morley Wharrey was his only son 20 Jun 1839. |
