Mentions going to Tadcaster, Bolton Percy, Harrogate and Leeds. Also recounts her travels around the country, visiting places such as Alton Towers, Ludlow, Tinturn Abbey, Wells, Glastonbury and Bath.
Entry dated 10 Feb mentions visiting Sigglesthorne; 22 Mar records the death of little Alfred Lascelles of typhoid fever; she rode with Lord Morpeth to Axton on 21 Apr; their niece Edith was christened on 30 Apr by the Bishop of Ripon; attended an agricultural show at Bramham on 8 Aug; Lady Milton came to spend the day on 20 Aug; on 10 Sep she called to visit Aunt Townhead; on 11 Sep visited Escrick; returned to Nun Appleton on 20 Sep; on 29 Sep she called at Harewood and found Lady Harewood at home; Egerton Harcourt came and told them of his brother's marriage 4 Nov and on the last day of the year she writes 'a very rainy day, dined at six, conjuring tricks and dancing for the children.'
