Description
Informs Jessica that her parents have just left Venice this morning. Her mother will stay in Paris for a time and her father will return to London. He then goes on to offer some account of their visit to Italy. He tells Jessica that her mother is worried about her and advises she take her mother's 'sisterly' and 'maternal' advice. He too offers advice concerning her marital difficulties. He tells Jessica that the publisher of Ruskin's first edition of the Stones of Vencie was recently 'here' in Venice.
