He left home on 7 Jun 1790, describes the agriculture south of Elmshall [Elmsall], 11 June visits Doncaster where the corporation is praised for 'paving their streets, widening their bridges. Here has lately been constructed a large mill worked by a fire engine for weaving for which the Revd Mr Cartwright, the inventor has obtained a patent', then to Cantley the seat of Mr Childers where he made notes on the agriculture.
