Bequests: Manor of Emsewell [Elmswell] to John Best, eldest son, and if he has no heirs, then to William Best; £20 to Mary Best, eldest daughter; £200 each on reaching 21 years or on day of marriage to Elizabeth Best, Sarah Best and Rebekka Best, daughters; £500 to William Best, son, on reaching 21 years; £5 to Paul Best, brother; 'my greate silver beare boule', a dozen silver spoons, and silver boat to William Best, son; 'my new double silver salte' to Mary Best, daughter; plain silver beaker, dimpled wine cup and a silver spoon which has her mother's name on it to Elizabeth Best, daughter; small silver bowl, plain silver wine cup and two silver spoons to Sarah Best, daughter; great silver beaker and 'double silver salte on an old fashion' to Rebekka Best, daughter; small bowl and plain silver wine cup and two silver spoons to Dorothy Best, daughter; his son John Best to educate his four youngest children
