DescriptionIncludes references to having yesterday given Dolly Cartwright's hand to Mr Willoughby; Mr Willoughby and J Dring having come to Ganton when they were all busy in hearing read and signing voluminous parchments; Egerton and Sir G Cayley having arrived yesterday they had after breakfast proceeded to church where the knot was tied; having been surprised (Mrs Willoughby not excepted) at Willoughby's resolution to be gone immediately, leaving about 1 o'clock for Birdsall; knowing they were home safe by the return of a servant that they had sent with them; Mrs Paylor's death; the receipt of money sent by Legard via Joe; having had notice would have liked to attend the Schoolboy's play with Grimston and Robinson; visiting Kilnwick in about 10 days; Sir G C having given Jenny 3 guineas for Mrs Gr[imston] to dispose of amongst the [Xning] people and Legard's little one continuing in good health and spirits
