DescriptionIncludes references to a letter he has received from Jack Taylor in York, informing him that the Assizes are very busy, there being one hundred and eleven causes entered and more expected; S[i]r Tho[ma]s Standish being foreman of the Grand Jury; Mr Wilford's cause standing the 77th; the fishermen having struck out all the East Riding gentlemen except S[i]r Robert Hyldyard, S[i]r Jno Pennington, Mr Ellerker and Mr Tho[ma]s Pennyman, who has said he can't attend; a request to John Grimston to write to Pennyman to prevail for his attendance, which would oblige Robert Grimston and Mr Wilford; having told Mr Ellerker that he will get notice when the cause is likely to be heard; the list of names struck out by Mr Wilford's Adversarys being John Storr, W[illia]m Thompson, Hugh Bethell, W[illia]m Bethell, Hugh Montgomery, W[illia]m Burton, Godfrey Boswell, Francis Best, John Grimston, W[illia]m Osbaldeston, Ja[me]s Hustler and Rob[er]t Belt and the B[isho]p of Carlisle having sent a Bill for enabling the Trustees to sell Hudleston's Estate at Bainton
