DescriptionIncludes references to the Prints having been approved, his Bessy having chosen them; Yorkshire air and York friends; thinking of Bath about Xmas; the fine Autumn; Grimston's wishes for Coloured Prints to Furnish a room but not having said how many he wants or what subjects; his feelings that they must be after such Pictures that are at Rome only; advice to write to Sir Digby about it; Major's prints; engravings at Palmira and Balbee; Lord Marquis of Rockingham at last having approved Dingley's plan for the stand at the course at York with some alteration proposed by Mr Carr in the Salloon; talks of change in the Ministry but it not yet having taken place; affairs going well in the Americas but East India affairs going ill and the Prince of Hess who married Princes[s] Mary having taken the Roman catholic religion and his father has deprived him of all his posts
