DescriptionIncludes references to 4 cases of Marble by Cap[tai]n Clapison having arrived safe and been taken to Kilnwick; three more cases having been received which he presumes are the Monument; a sum for Mrs Jenkins at Michelmas last; honouring Mr Hatfield's bill for 6 guineas; clinkers not having arrived; Charles Poole having sent his half year rent and has lost 3 cows to Distemper whichis bad in the town; a request to ask Col[one]l Legard to enquire after a pair of Collours for his kinsman and to send a line if he hears of a proper Regiment; Robin Legard having come to be an inhabitant amongst them that winter; having been to the Assembly to see Legard's pretty neice but being disappointed; Sir Rob[er]t Hildyard having been out of order in a cold but is now better and the Humbleton family being in a hurry that morning as Polly Lillingston and Mr Ponell are to be joined in Holy Matrimony
