Description
Includes references to having waited on Adm[ira]l Rowley with the acc[oun]ts and letters Mr Thompson received from Leghorn; a bill from Messrs How and Company from sales of a Prize and the settling of other dependancies. Also includes a letter from Stephen Thompson in London dated 5 May 1753, which includes references to Mr Groves being asked to appoint Mr Morn to call on Thompson to talk over the affairs between Grimston and Mr Rowley; Rowley settling with Grimston when he comes to town in Winter but had endorsed one bill which Grimston must also endorse ; Thompson's opinion of the affair; Rowley Medley and Bing's entitlement; Groves' plans to go to Gibraltar; his house not yet being ready; fears that his sister will never get from Bristol and a letter not delivered to Rowley. Also includes a memorandum dated 9 May about a draught received on Jones Son and Company, Lefroy and Charron-Howe Preston and Company sent back 11 May endorsed to Messrs Thompson and Seward
