Includes references to the birth of Grimston's son; his sister's health; accepting the office destined with regard to his nephew; being pleased to be linked with Jack Bagnall and Mrs Payler; a pacquet of letters not being received which were sent to Italy before Mr Selwin had notice of Legard being in France; his Mother having received a letter which he had sent from Marseilles; having written to Grimston's wife from Aix; having been at Paris about 8 days after a journey of 600 miles without accident; ; having stayed a few days at Lyons, where he met with the Du[ke] of Bridgewater; having seen the King'[s] palace at Fountainbleu; there being a pretty good Italian Opera and moving from the Hotel Garni to the house of a friend
