Includes references to Grimston's health; settling with Mr Rowley and Mr Byng in January; defering Mr Cooper's affair until Groves comes to town; Murray's affair; Gasteldi the Genoese minister asking for information on matters in the Mediterranean during the late Admiral's command and has given him a list of Prizes from the Court Books of Mahon, which Groves thinks if the produce has been received will be lodged with Mr Byng; Hardwick writing to say that Mr Frankland will sollicit on his behalf and requests that Groves should resign his warrant to him; Mrs Crofts situation; the weather; the purchase of Cyder; engaging in the Corn Trade; his farm and the receipt of a letter from Hardwick who says that Frankland has obtained Lord [Sandwick]'s permission for Groves warrant to be transferred to Hardwick
