Includes references to payments to Mr Groves and "that Scoundrell Hardwick"; Grimston's letters for Lewis and Read being hand-delivered by Thompson's friend Tierny; refers to a fine marble table he has received for Grimston, describing it as "inlaid with Flowers and Fruit and a Print or drawing in Black and White of Bachus and Ariadne in ye Middle" which is to be sent to N Maisters for him; an accident that Grimston has had when a pole fell on his pate; Groves being afraid of a crew of sailors and quiting his lodgings because of it; a conversation that Thompson had had with a chap about a Dutch prize; the bustes having had the effect that Grimston expected of them and Stephen Croft
