| Description | The letter from Thomas Corbett, dated 26 Apr 1749, includes references to a copy of a memorial from the Genoese Resident sent by His Grace the Duke of Bedford, His Majesty's Principal Secretary of State, to the Commissioners of the Admiralty, which has only been an account of the Genoese Vessels and not their cargoes and requesting a list of effects taken under other flags and the money they produced and where it is now deposited as soon as possible. Thomas Grimston's reply, dated 5 May 1749, states that he had notified them of the deposits he had last summer and refers them to that letter |
