DescriptionIncludes references to Mr Russell's receipt for the account of Burrington Goldsworthy; no British ships having arrived in port but the Leghorn, Whitewood, Duke, Dyer and Britannia, Mauger have sailed for London; scheme of Mr Howe and Captain Hervey to get Admiral Medley's money and plate chests; Admiral Byng has gone home with the greatest part of His Majesty's fleet under his command and will by now have left Vado Bay for Mahon; the obstinate behaviour of Captain Latham; the price of corn and the harvest in Naples and Sicily and a scheme which Howe has proposed to Mr Preachcroft and an invitation to confer with Preachcroft and Mr Simpson about it
