DescriptionBequests: poor of Cranswick, Brandesburton, Walkington, Atwick, North Cowden, Rowlston, Mappleton, Hornsea, Otley, and St Mary's, Castlegate; prisoners in York Castle and in Ouse Bridge and Peter Prison; Elizabeth Barker widow of Reverend Robert Baker rector of Cherry Burton, and her daugnter Anne; Reverend Thomas Mason rector of Thornton in Pickering Lythe and wife Mary; Minister of St Mary's, Castlegate and for teaching children of the parish; John Hutton, junior of Marsk , esquire; Hugh Mason of Hull; vicar of Cranswick; poor children of Cranswick; teaching children in Brandesburton; for building a school room at Acklam and teaching children there; poor children of Acklam; town of Huggate on the Wolds; and numerous other small bequests. Provision for purchasing an advowson to the value of £400, or 2 scholarships of the same value, to be given to the use of any relations qualified for the ministery or, if there be none, to any poor scholar of the free school of Beverley, or elsewhere to be disposed of as the Minister and Fellows of Sidney Sussex College shall think fit
