Title
Letter from George Calverley-Rudston, Ishawooa, Wyoming, to his father, Trevor Wheler Calverley-Rudston
Date
23 Jun 1904
Description
Discusses the extremes in weather. Has shot a bear and the fur is at its best now. Water is a problem and the government are spending $5 million on building a reservoir to bring in more people and help cultivation. Buffalo Bill owns the largest hotel and is expanding it. Over 90 per cent of the houses are hotels. Discusses cattle breeding and the best time to sell. Sheep breeders are looked down upon as the sheep eat all the grass. Very few English people here and he is amazed how anything lives as the cattle fatten on very little.
