letter from George Rudston-Read, Sutton on Derwent to Charles Rudston-Read in which he mentions that he has ordered and sent some equipment-saws, two ploughs, sackholder[?] and a cart and that he does not understand some of the names that Charles uses for other farm machinery, has sent calico for his wall and a few 'Times', the letter includes a list of the objects sent in two packages including machinery from Crosskills. He mentions a war [Crimean?] and the charge of the Light Brigade and the number of Russians killed.
