Date
27 Feb 1846
Description
They crossed the river on the 13th at Ferozeshah and marched on Kupoor which had surrendered to General Grey. They are now dictating terms of a treaty and do not expect to leave this until the middle of next month and thinks they might be going to Umbala or Meerut and next year they might form a new station. They are to receive medals and a year's [Batta] which he says is the best part of the business and mentions £200 for a captain's account as the campaign has incurred additional expenses.
