Is unable to visit Frickley at present. His fishing [trade] has been bad only making a third. They are involved in another trade in Quebec and Baltic. The 'Andrew Marvel' will do well but the 'Sisters' lost money on the Greenland trip but is off to a Petersburg voyage. Mr Preston's health is declining and has been his partner for 30 years. His partner Mr Dixon, has been with him 20 years. Mentions he has been in business 46 years. Wishes to make provision for his children.
