DescriptionThis book of warrants are mostly complete, however, there are a few pages that have been physically removed either by tearing or cutting. These pages vary from small torn pieces sewn into the binding, some of which have writing on them to clear evidence that whole pages have been cut out. There needed to be continuity with the page numbering and so the missing pages have been allocated to particular warrants.. This affects a number of warrants in varying degrees. Where there is only one missing page this has been allocated to the existing first half or the existing latter half of the warrant. However, there is one particular instance where the number of missing pages may inadvertently indicate a longer warrant, as the warrant at DDCR/7/1/1/1/147 relating to the sergeant at law is noted as running from page 159-165. As the next warrant relating to the rectory of Aghert was complete the missing pages were allocated to the previous warrant. On the whole warrants tended to be short in length and it could be the case that the missing pages may have contained another one or two warrants, but this is impossible to tell.
