DescriptionFfiant that unto Sir JL and others of the Isle called Isle of Plowden or Long Isle between 39 and 40 degrees north latitude and of 40 leagues square, is to be known as New Albion. Such privileges are to go to Sir EP, governor, that other governors receive, such as Sir GC, late Lord Baltimore, in Newfoundland (deceased). Ffiant to be granted free leave and licence and the colony is to be supplied with cattle and labourers may be carried to the colony. Relates to letters patent of 24 June 1632.
