Regiment of Light Dragoons on the Madras Station, the portrait of himself; to fifth son, Charles Rudston-Read, a midshipman, two freehold farms known as Broadlane with the closes at South Kirby and South Elmsall in the West Riding and the tithes, and the portrait of himself. To Anna Rudston-Read, Katherine Rudston-Read and Elizabeth Amelia Rudston-Read, daughters, large and small pianoforte and for the sole use of the last unmarried daughter, also botanical books, close carriage. To eldest son, William Henry Rudston-Read, wines, liquors, household furniture, plate, linen and china. To sisters-in-law Maria Cholmley of Leamington Spa, bronze cast of 'The Saviour' and to Amelia Elizabeth Cholmley of Fulford Lodge, drawing of the south view of Whitby Abbey. To Mrs Caley, wife of Digby Caley of Ripon, the picture of the Saviour to Mary Magdalen in the garden. The manor of the lordship of Hayton and other real estate to William Henry Rudston-Read, George Rudston-Read and Thomas Frederick Rudston-Read with £5,000 to each of his daughters but with provisos if they get married and £5,000 to Edward Rudston-Read and referst to the lease and release of land at Youlthorpe, Bishop Wilton and Fangfoss. Also appoints his eldest children as guardians to his youngest son and daughter.
