The 3 seal tags of this deed have been cut from an agreement between Roger Allerton of Hull merchant and John Borwaldson of Skiddam (Schiedam in Holland) shipper:- R.A has take 20 last of freight in J.B.'s ship called Goesknyght of Skiddam which is to be ready within 14 days of next Easter. J.B. is to make the ship able in all manner of tackle and to have in it 20 able shipmen. R.A. is to put into the ship 20 last of stockfish, and it will then go to Grimsby road and stay there 3 days, c.1430 |
