DescriptionBetween Master Robert de Barton rector of Hausham [Halsham] and Sir William le Constable over the common of pasture Robert shall enjoy in right of his church of Hausham relating to he and his successors to have common for 4 beasts in the demesne pasture called Yaland (and through William may ditch or otherwise improve his pasture there, Robert shall have free right of way for his said beasts); and common for 8 beasts in Bringinges where and when the beasts of the free men and other men of Hausham are depastured; but for no other beasts in any other pastures of the town. Robert quitclaims all other common pasture rights-Dom William of York, provost of Beverley, and patron of the church of Hausham has added his seal. Witnesses: Sir M(armaduke) de Tweng, Sayer de Sutton, John de Okston, Master Gervase sacristan of Beverley, John de Walkington, Matthew de Witton, Thomas de Melsa, Simon son of Osbert, Alan White ("albo"). Two seals. (i) Fragment - standing ecclesiastical figure(?): (ii) Vesica, a fleur-de-lys "S. MAG'RI. R. DE. BARTONA".
