(a) Gift: A.L. to Marmaduke Thirkell, seth Holme & Peter Newark esquires property: messuage etc. in Santon. Lands in Etton to use of Marmaduke Langdale, brother of A.L. and Katherine wife of George Fowlbury, for 7 years to pay debts of A.L., and then to his son Richard.
(18 Feb. 1569/70).
(b) Gift: Parties as (a) property: all lands of A.L. in Southcliff, Northcliff & Santon to use of his younger sons Peter & Marmaduke. (18 Feb. 1569/70).
(c) That Richard L. died about six years ago.
(d) Gift: A.L. to his brother Marmaduke property:a third part of his goods, in consideration that A.L. had converted to his use goods & chattels which belonged to M.L. as an exor. of their father Thomas L.
(e) Journey of A.L. beyond the sea, his goods & chattels being then in possession of his wife Jane & brother Marmaduke, and his death in Rome (1 Apr. 1577) 30 Jan. 1593/4. |
