DescriptionWilliam son & heir of Thomas de Houton to John Thurkelby & Servacius de Beverley chaplain property: capital messuage in Houton which his late grandmother Matilda held for her life, with 2 gardens, a croft, 13 oxgangs which Matilda held, that (land) called Forland with meadow belonging to it which he inherited, and all that moor called Sutthe more which likewise descended to him on death of his father, with the lordship of Houton as it is in his hands, with the service & rent of John Pay etc. Given at Houton, Thurs. before St. Dionisius, 15 Ed.II. Witnesses: Thomas de Bruneby, Richard Sturmy, Richard de Santon, Richard son of Ymanius of Houton, Richard Place. Seal, two beasts (a wyvern and (a lion rampant?)) "SICUT LEO FORTIS".
