He has given her the farm of four years (i.e. 40 marks of silver) in advance. The agreement began at the feast of St. Martin in Winter (11 Nov.) 1201, i.e the first such feast after death of Hugh, Bishop of Lincoln. And from five years after the beginning of the term, he or his assigns shall render her marks yearly for her life.
